You're just jealous that you aren't a hideous old man with a repugnant sense of morality.

If Bill Gates committed contract fraud, would you be okay with him paying millions of people's taxes for them to get out of it?

yeah, cause he's saved more lives than Batman

I guess the point isn't what they've done before but what they can do now.
If bernie takes the deal, he'll probably make up the damage he did with bribery with this settlement significantly. He's paying 60m euros to the government. That does WAY more public good than bribing someone over the sale of stock does bad.

OK? No. Possible? Yes. I refer you to the case of The People of the State of California v. O.J. Simpson.
Rich people get away with stuff.

Yeah,I was somewhat joking about the Batman thing.
It's not like Bernie bribed the government so he could kill babies, he bribed another wanker who was being a wanker so the wankers could make more money. As far as I'm aware, the only people who lose out are other wankers who potentially lost the bid to make more money being wankers.

Actually, I'd say that Bernie lost more money than gained out of that deal, and the gains are probably nominal compared to his net worth. But he did make sure that F1 was sold to the company he had a controlling interest in, so that he could keep managing it instead of it being sold to someone else. Controlling F1 is his main concern, I think, not making more money.
